Shake up behind the plate

So long Pudge! It looks like Dave Dombrowski is starting to make some moves with this team. Its about time. I don't know if this was the right move but at least he is starting to realize that the team he assembled isn't cutting it. Handing over the catching duties to Brandon Inge for the rest of the year is understandable, but to name him the catcher next year, come on! I guess Dombrowski is feeling guilty for stringing Inge around all these years, from catcher, to third base, to super utility man. The problem with naming him catcher for next year is that Inge is hitting .227 this year. That was his problem in the past, a good defensive player with a some power, but strikes out way to much and can't consistently get on base. I like the pickup of Kyle Farnsworth though. The Tigers bullpen is in disarray right now and Farnsworth will hopefully add some stability to it. The Tigers came from behind last night, the same day as the trade, and maybe that is the type of win under those circumstances that can motivate a team. I don't want to write off this season yet, but its getting close. Lets see how these next few games play out and if Dombrowski makes any more moves before today's trade deadline.

in the middle of the night

Just like the Colts left Baltimore for Indianapolis and the Browns left Cleveland to become the Ravens in Baltimore I have decided to make the transition from Yahoo 360 to the Blogger. I want to reach more viewers and receive more comments so I have picked this outlet to receive both. For those of you who haven't read my work or don't know me, I'm a diehard sports fan who loves his home teams. In this case we are talking about the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Redwings, and Detroit Pistons. I'll comment on the ups and downs of those teams and anything else in the sports world that gets my attention. So feel free to give your responses good or bad, and we'll get this thing started. Buckle up!!!!!
